（中央社記者黃自強新加坡4日專電）總統馬英九與中國大陸國家主席習近平預定7日下午在新加坡香格里拉飯店會面，這家飯店因為是年度大事「香格里拉對話」舉辦場地，名聲遠揚國際。

香格里拉飯店位於新加坡最熱鬧的烏節路區域，由於交通位置方便，也鄰近地鐵站，受到各國旅客喜愛入住，飯店內設施更是一應俱全。

22年前「辜汪會談」，也曾一度建議把香格里拉飯店列為會談地點。

英國智庫「國際戰略研究所」（IISS）於新加坡的舉辦「亞洲安全會議」（Asia Security Summit），又稱「香格里拉對話」（Shangri-La Dialogue），就是在香格里拉飯店舉辦。

香格里拉對話在新加坡政府支持下於2002年開始舉辦，因會議在香格里拉飯店舉行而得名，這項重要會議目前是亞太地區重要的安全對話機制。
